Location steps and stops
A place that players walk to. They find it with your clue, then see what is there.
The step page has two tabs, in the order players go through them: Getting there and At the location. Both are one draft: Save keeps all your changes, Discard removes them.
Set the place
- In the Location card, type a place or an address in Search for a place or address and pick a result. Or click the map to put the pin there.
- The map locks once the pin is set. To move the pin, select Change location, drag the pin or click a new spot, then select Done.
- To take the pin away, select Remove location while the map is unlocked.
Choose how players find the place
The switch Player must find this location in the Finding the place card decides what players see. It stays off until you set the place.
With the switch on, two settings appear:
- Found within
- The distance at which players have found the place. A whole number from 5 to 500 metres. The default is 25.
- Help the player with
- Tick Compass to show the direction, Distance to show how far it is. Both are off by default. With none ticked, players have only the clue.
Write a clue
Write the clue in the Clue card, up to 500 characters. Players see it on their way to the place, whether the place is hidden or shown.
When players can’t find the place
The search screen always has two buttons. You can’t turn them off.
Set up what players see at the location
This tab shows the step’s screen as players see it. Edit the cover image, the name, the narration and the sections right there. The button to the next step is set by the app, so you can’t edit it.
